The WYZE is a great option if you’re looking for a powerful cordless vacuum that won’t break the bank. It’s one of the lightest vacuums on our list, weighing only 7.5 pounds, and has a detachable hand vacuum, making it easy to clean hard-to-reach areas. The WYZE also has a HEPA filter, making it great for anyone with allergies. If the red light on your WYZE cordless vacuum is on, it may be for one of the following reasons:
-The dustbin is full
-The filter needs to be cleaned or replaced
-The brush roll needs to be cleaned
-There is an obstruction in the path of the laser
-The battery is low and needs to be recharged
-The battery needs to be replaced
-There is an issue with the lasers
Here’s how you can fix these issues.
Fixing Wyze Cordless Vacuum Red Light
- Empty The Dustbin
The red light turns on when the dustbin is full, reminding you to empty it. To do so, open up the vacuum and press the release button on the dustbin. Then, dump the contents into the trash and replace the dustbin. The dustbin has a capacity of 0.5 litres.
- Check The Filter
If the dustbin is empty and the red light is still on, if the filter is dirty, you may have to clean it or replace it in some cases. To clean the filter, take it out from the vacuum and tap it against a trash can to remove any debris.
- Clean The Brush Roll
If the filter is clean and the red light is still on, the brush roll might need to be cleaned. To do so, remove the brush roll from the vacuum and use scissors to cut away any tangled hair or debris. Then, put the brush roll back into place.
- Remove Obstructions
If there’s an obstruction in the path of the laser, it could also cause the red light to come on. To fix this, move the vacuum and make sure there’s a clear path for the laser.
- Recharge Battery
Another reason the red light may turn on is if the battery is low. In this case, you’ll need to recharge the battery. To do so, plug the vacuum into a power outlet and wait for it to charge. Once the red light is off, the vacuum is ready to use. The battery takes an average time of 3-4 hours to charge fully.
- Replace The Battery
If the brush roll is clean and the red light is still on, the battery might need to be replaced. To do so, remove the old battery from the vacuum and insert a new one. Use the correct type of battery for your vacuum. To find out which battery works best with your vacuum, consult the owner’s manual.
- Check The Lasers
The red light may also come on if there’s an issue with the lasers. You’ll need to take the vacuum to a WYZE service center to fix this. The lasers inside the vacuum are delicate and should only be handled by a professional.
- Check For Updates
A firmware update may resolve the issue using an older WYZE cordless vacuum model. To check for updates, open up the WYZE app and select the vacuum from the device list. Next, tap on the “Check for updates” button. If an update is available, it will be downloaded and installed automatically.
- Restart The Vacuum
If the red light is still on after trying all these fixes, try restarting the vacuum. To Restart, hold the power button for 3 seconds. The vacuum will turn off and then back on again. After it restarts, the red light should be gone.
