- Inspecting the Connection
We also recommend that you thoroughly inspect the connection and make sure there isn’t anything wrong with how you have the wind sensor set up. For it to properly work, you will have to make sure that you connect the sensor to its mounting bracket.
To do so, ensure that the round magnet is fully attached to your mounting bracket. If you find it getting loose, you can use any silicon-based product that will help glue the magnet with the bracket. Once the connection has been secured, you should not face further problems with the sensor.
- Bringing the Sensor Inside
Another thing that you can do as a precaution is to bring your wind sensors indoors during the winter season. During cold weather, the batteries of the sensor can get damaged over time and may even end up leaking harmful acids that can put the sensor at a threat.
To prevent this from happening, all you have to do is to make sure that you bring the sensor inside the house. Luckily, the sensor’s already been designed to be removed quite easily from the bracket, so you shouldn’t face any problems while doing this.
