Roav Viva is an interactive device through which users are allowed to add tons of new features to their car. The device features full compatibility with Alexa, due to which users can also give voice commands in order to perform a task in their car.
Troubleshooting Common Roav Viva Problems
Lately, a number of users have been complaining about facing issues while trying to use the Roav Viva device. According to these users, they have been facing different problems while using the Roav Viva. Each problem requires a different troubleshooting procedure.
If you are also someone who has been facing different problems while using the device, then this article should be of great help to you. Through this article, we will be giving a number of ways on how you can fix all these problems. So, without wasting any time further, let’s get started!
- Problems with Playing Music
One of the first issues that many users face while trying to play music in their car is that they are unable to play the song of their favorite artist after they give the voice command. No matter what playlist they try to play on their car, it says that the playlist simply does not exist.
Similarly, for some users, music will sometimes drop out. As the music plays, the music will suddenly drop out followed by Alexa telling the user about the signal connection being poor.
Most of the time, the problem is mostly because the device is not on the latest version of the firmware. Hence, fixing it will simply require the user to install the latest version of the firmware on his device. You can also try turning off Wi-Fi and use Mobile Data to see if that has any effect at all.
- Problems with Navigation
Another issue with the Roav Viva is that users will often face complications with navigating. When traveling in a car, navigation is undoubtedly one of the most important factors. Through Google Maps, users can easily navigate exactly where they want to go and also know about the shortest path to reach their goal.
However, users have mentioned how whenever they enter a destination, they get an error which states that either they have really poor signals, or they need to put an address on the Alexa app. In both cases, they are unable to get Maps to show their destination.
Fixing this will require you to first check whether you have the location properly turned on and that you are getting good signals. Similarly, we would recommend that you resync your account and location with Roav Viva and Alexa. It could be a simple bug that should be fixed by resyncing or resetting.
- Not Functioning at All
Although this isn’t that common, some users have mentioned how they get no response whenever they ask Viva or Alexa to do something while traveling. Whenever they give any command at all, they either get no response at all or get told that they are currently having some sort of connection problems.
If anything of the sort happens, what the user can do is first check whether he really is getting full signals or not. Under such circumstances, the best course of action would be to contact customer support. They should tell you more about the troubleshooting steps that you will need to follow. You will also have to fully cooperate with the support team in order to get to the root of the issue and be able to fix it.
The Bottom Line:
Are you facing problems with Roav Viva? If so, then all you have to do is to follow the set of instructions that we have given in this article. My Roav Viva telks me the weather, plays music, and answers all questions that my home echo device is able to answer, however what my Roav Viva device won’t do, is navigate or open either Waze or Google Maps, I ask Alexa to navigate to my requested destination, and I get the response “Sorry I cannot navigate without a supported app” or if I ask Alexa to navigate to the nearest petrol station, then Alexa gives me a list, then asks me which one, by number, so she obviously has access to my location, however when I specifi which one I want her to navigate to, I get the same response as before, “Sorry I cannot navigate without a supported app”.
I’ve sent to & received multiple emails replys from Anker support, and so far all that the have requested I check, and do, even reconnect & ensure both my account, from the Roav Viva app & my Amazon Shopping App are connected & authorised, which they are, and I’ve disconnected, and reconnected them, but still Alexa from the Roav Viva device will not navigate, however if I try to navigate from the Alex app, not using the Roav Viva device, then Alex opens up Google Maps, and navigates with no problems.
Personally I have arrived at the conclusion that Roav Viva does not work properly when being used in the UK, as you cannot purchase this device in the UK. ( might be wrong but why doesn’t navigate work, and seems no fix, also all the user youtube videos are of this device being used in the US)
