We’ve received many customer reports that the Owlet Camera isn’t responding correctly on iPhones. Although the owlet cameras are popular among new parents and for the right reasons, this is a relatively new issue first of its kind. It seems like a minor glitch in the system. While we’re not sure what the cause of this problem is, we know how to fix it! In this article, we’ll outline some solutions to try and get the camera working again.
Some of the commonly encountered issues include
- A dead Battery
- Monitoring Interruption
- Outdated software
- Camera not connected
- Not using a compatible wi-fi of 2.4GHZ
Here’s how you can fix each of these problems the Owlet Camera faces.
Owlet Not Working on iPhone:
- Replace a Dead Battery
If your Owlet Camera isn’t responding, it might be because the battery is dead. The battery may have drained entirely if you haven’t used the camera in a while. Plug the camera into a power outlet using the included micro USB cable and adapter to fix this. The camera will take a few minutes to charge. If the Owlet Camera isn’t responding, it could be because the battery is low. Try charging the camera for at least 30 minutes before trying to use it again. The camera is not receiving power if you’re getting the “No Battery” error. Check to make sure that the battery is inserted correctly and charged.
- Fix Monitoring Interruption
The Owlet Camera may stop responding if there is an interruption in the monitoring process. This is caused by a power outage, internet connection issues, or the camera being moved too far from the base station. If you think this might be the issue, try restarting the monitoring process and moving the camera closer to the base station
- Update IOS on iPhone
One of the reasons the Owlet Camera might not be responding on your iPhone is because you’re using an outdated version of iOS. To fix this, go to the Settings app on your iPhone, tap General, and then Software Update. It will be downloaded and installed automatically if a new iOS version is available. The Owlet Camera may also stop responding if outdated software is outdated. To check for updates, open the Owlet app and the Settings menu. It will be listed under the “Firmware” section if an update is available. To check for updates:
- Open the Owlet app and select the settings menu.
- Select “Check for updates.”
- If there is an update available, install it.
- Connect Cameras Properly
If the Owlet Camera isn’t responding, it could be because it’s not correctly connected to the base station. Try restarting the camera and ensuring it’s firmly seated in the base station. First, ensure that the Owlet Camera is appropriately connected to your iPhone. If it’s not, try connecting it again and restarting your iPhone. If the camera is still not working, try resetting the Owlet Camera. To do this, press and hold the reset button for three seconds. After doing this, try connecting the Owlet Camera to your iPhone again.
- Use a Compatible Wi-fi
If you’re having trouble connecting the Owlet Camera to your wi-fi network, make sure you’re using a compatible router of at least 802.11n standard with a frequency of either 2412 MHz, 2417 MHz, or 2422 MHz
- Wait For Temporary Loading Issue To Resolve
There might be a problem with the Owlet app or website, causing the camera not to work correctly. To fix this, try restarting the Owlet app and then reloading the page. If that doesn’t work, try restarting your iPhone and opening the Owlet app again. The Owlet Camera may take a few minutes to load when you first start using it. If the camera doesn’t seem to be working after a few minutes, try restarting your iPhone and then opening the Owlet app again.
