Troubleshooting Guide: Nixplay Update Failure
- Internet Access
You need to thoroughly check to ensure that the data connection on your mobile device or via wireless means is operating correctly. You may be unable to update the Nixplay App under certain circumstances.
- Storage Capacity
Check the amount of storage space available on your phone to ensure that there will be enough room for you to download any required upgrades. It’s possible that an upgrade to the software won’t be possible since it requires too much storage space.
Things to Check before Updating Your Nixplay Software
Before you update the software on your Nixplay Frame, please follow the checklist that is below:
- Navigate to the Settings > General > About menu on your Frame.
- Be sure to check the model of your Frame.
- Check out the revised version of the Frame. (Take X10H-02 as an example; the revision number for the Frame is 02)
- Make sure that the firmware version of your Frame is up to date.
- Check out the changelogs for the most recent version of the firmware.
- Search for a firmware that is compatible with your Frame and try to download that.
- Make sure your USB drive or SD card is formatted in FAT32.
How to Update Your Nixplay Software?
Please download and install the software on your Frame in accordance with the methods that are explained below:
- Connect an empty FAT32 SD card or USB drive to your computer and transfer the file system to it.
- You may identify the model of your Frame as well as the firmware version by going to the settings menu on your remote control and scrolling to the section labelled General > About.
- Determine the appropriate firmware upgrade for your device depending on its model, revision, and the version of firmware it is currently running.

- To save the file to the USB or SD card on your computer, select “Save Link As” from the drop-down menu.
- Keep in mind that you should not rename the file.
- After you have finished saving the file to your USB or SD Card, you will need to remove it from your computer and then place it into your Frame.
- After selecting “Yes, update immediately,” you will need to wait for the Frame to restart and then refresh itself.
- To check if the firmware version on your device has been successfully updated, press the settings button on your remote and navigate to the General > About menu option.
