There are a variety of configurations that you need to go through to get the system working perfectly in your home. Most users prefer to get the unit professionally installed to avoid issues with the sensor alignment and the hub. So, if you have the budget and want to save some time, then hiring a general contractor should help you get better performance from the unit.

With that said, quite a few queries have been recorded on myQ garage notifications. If you’re also looking for more information on how to manage the notification settings on the hub, then these details should give you a better perspective.

The email notifications and push notifications on the mobile application make it effortless for users to manage the smart hub and lights. The configurations for the push notifications are quite simple, and you just have to access the myQ account to set notifications on the phone. All you need to do is press plus on the main screen and then click on notifications to choose a device. At this stage, you can either select the myQ hub or the smart lights installed in your home.

Once you’ve selected the smart device, you can easily name the notification and specify the conditions for these push notifications. These conditions will determine what actions trigger the notification, and you can future specify the timing for this notification for better control. Most users prefer to go with the immediate notifications, while others prefer to set a timer for 10 to fifteen minutes.

After setting the time preferences, users can manage the repetition of the notifications to cycle every hour and each day of the week. Now, you can enable the push notifications or email notifications and simply save the settings. In most situations, it can take around 90 seconds for the notifications to show up on the screen. So, make sure to test out the configurations after enabling the notifications.

If, for some reason, you’re not getting the desired response from the notification, verify the configurations again. There is a good chance that you’ve mismanaged the timer on the notifications, and they are not set to go off immediately. For that reason, you will struggle to get the desired response from the myQ garage notifications. So, just change the timer and check the response from your hub. It should show the notification within the specified time.

However, if you’re still unable to get the push notifications, then there is a good chance that your mobile device doesn’t allow push notifications. So, you will need to check the application settings and allow for push notifications. Otherwise, you will remain stuck in the issue and won’t’ get anywhere with the hub configurations.

All in all, myQ garage notifications are quite easy to manage, and you need to only focus on the repetition and the notification delay to get optimal performance. Other than that, the process is quite simple, and you just have to open up the application to get the desired performance from your system.

Can Notifications Be Scheduled Past Midnight?

At the moment, users can’t specify notification scheduling past midnight. Two separate notifications have to be created to follow multiple schedules on a single day, and owners need to end the first cycle at 12 AM. The next cycle can be started at 12.01 AM, and you can further pass the notification throughout the midnight. So, if you’re not getting the desired response from the notifications, try breaking up the schedule so that it doesn’t cover the time past midnight. Otherwise, you won’t’ get any performance, and it will be quite annoying to fix this issue.

The issues are most common with the push notification, and you won’t run into any problems with the email notifications most of the time. The problems with the push notifications are almost always related to the app permissions in the mobile settings. So, if you’re stuck in this issue and don’t know why you’re not getting any push notifications, then going through the mobile settings should help you narrow down on the issue. Once you’ve managed the application allowances, getting the desired performance from the app won’t take much of your time. Make sure also to involve myQ support if you’re stuck at any step.

  1. I have had MyQ notification problems since day 1 (2016?) on my Android phones. Three different Chamberlain garage door openers, two different phones, two different internet service providers. Delays ranging from 20 seconds (Great!) to 1.5 hours (BAD!). the 1st time it happened we drove back to our house (12 miles) to see if the door was really open and if anything had been stolen. Now that I am typing this I realize I should just turn off the notifications as you cant count on it.
