The Lockly Wi-Fi Hub is a device that allows you to control your Lockly smart locks from anywhere in the world. It also allows you to add additional features to your locks, such as guest access and activity logs, scheduling, fingerprint access, and more.
There can be several reasons why your lockly Wi-Fi hub is not connecting. Here are some troubleshooting tips to help you fix the issue:
Lockly Wi-Fi Hub Not Connecting Fix:
- Hub should be Powered and within Bluetooth range
Check if the Hub is powered on by looking for the blue light on the front of the device. If it’s off, press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to turn it on. The Hub should also be within Bluetooth range (approximately 30 feet) of your Lockly smart lock.
If you’re still having trouble connecting, try restarting your Hub by pressing and holding the power button for 10 seconds. The hub must be powered on. The Hub has a power button on the back. Suppose the power light is not lit; press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to turn on the device. The hub must be powered on and properly plugged into an outlet.
- Check if there are any updates available.
If the lockly hub is not connecting, it might be because a new software update is available for your Hub. To check if any updates are available, open the Lockly app and go to the Hub’s settings page. If there’s a new update, it will be listed at the top of the page. Tap the “Update” button to install the update.
- The Router Must be On
Next, check to ensure your router is on and has an internet connection. The hub needs to be able to connect to the internet to the Lockly servers. Ensure that your router is turned on and working properly.
- Check Hub Placement
The Hub must be placed within 30 feet of the Door Lock for optimal performance. The location and position of the hub hold a lot of importance; it may not be able to connect properly if not placed at the right distance.
- Check for Interference
Several things can cause interference with the Hub’s signal. These include Microwaves, Cordless phones, Metal objects and Large appliances. If you have any of these items near the Hub, try moving them and see if that helps improve the connection.
- Restart the Hub
Try restarting the device if you’ve tried all the above and the Hub still will not connect. To restart, keep pressing and hold the power button for 10 seconds. The Hub will reboot and should connect automatically.
- Factory Reset the Hub
If the Hub still does not connect after restarting, you may need to factory reset the device. Factory resetting the hub requires you to press and hold the power button for 20 seconds. The Hub will reset, and you need to set it up again.
- Hub should be Within the range
First, check to make sure that your hub is within range. The Hub has a range of 30 feet. If the hub is at a distance, it may not be able to connect properly. Check that the hub is within range of your router.
- Hub must be Connected with Wi-Fi.
Ensure the hub is connected to your router with a strong Wi-Fi signal.
- Check Firewall Settings
If firewalls are enabled, check that it is not blocking the connection. How a firewall blocks a connection will depend on the type of firewall you use.
