If you have a LaView camera and you’ve been experiencing issues with it, don’t feel bad—you’re not the only one! There are several customers who, at some point in time, have problems with their IP cameras.
These problems might range from being unable to connect the camera to being unable to watch the video stream.
Before calling customer service, there are a few things that you should attempt on your own first. This is the good news.
Check out these ideas for troubleshooting if you’re having difficulties with your LaView camera right now.
Laview No More Ip Camera Allowed
- Close The Application
If you suddenly find that your LaView is unable to stream video, check to be that any other programs that were previously operating on your device have been terminated.
If an excessive number of other applications are attempting to use the camera at the same time, the connection to the camera will be immediately severed on many devices.
You should be able to reestablish a connection after you have rebooted your device if you first ensure that all of your applications have been closed and then attempt to restart LaView.
- Hard Reset Your Device
One of the easiest ways to fix LaView camera connection issues is by resetting your device. To do so:
- Unplug all cords connected to your camera.
- Power off your router.
- Hold down the red button on the bottom of the LaView camera and plug in the power cord into the backside while continuing to hold down the red button.
- Continue holding down the red button until the LED light blinks rapidly and turns solid blue.
- Release the red button and wait 30 seconds for the device to reboot.
- Connect the LaView camera to the router via an Ethernet cable.
- Power on the router, then power on the LaView camera.
- Your device should now be working properly again! If you’re still having trouble, try changing your network settings (e.g., channel, SSID, encryption type).
- Update The Firmware
You should upgrade the firmware of your LaView camera if you are experiencing problems with it.
By bringing the firmware of your camera up to date, you can guarantee that it has all of the most current updates and upgrades, which will improve its overall performance.
If the software on your device is an old version, you may find that there are fewer choices available to you or that you get issues while attempting to use it.
Please follow these steps in order to upgrade the firmware on your LaView cameras. Please sign in with your myLV credentials.
Simply choose All Cameras from the menu located at the very top of MyLV. Choose a camera from the drop-down menu labeled “All Cameras.”
Find the link for Camera Info below the live view picture (may be labeled as Advanced Viewing Options) Simply choose the Camera Info link. If prompted, enter your password here.
In the section titled “Firmware Update,” choose the Update button. The next page will have three sections: a download button for the firmware, an upload button for the firmware, and a manual upload button.
Downloading the Firmware, Uploading the Firmware, and Manually Uploading To finish the firmware upgrade, follow the on-screen instructions for each stage.
You will be presented with a notice indicating whether the updated firmware was successfully uploaded or not following the subsequent reset of your camera. Your camera is now in its most current state!
- Restart Your Router Or Modem
If you have a modem and router, try restarting both before trying to access your camera.
You can do so by unplugging them from power for about five minutes or until all lights go out, then plugging them back in and waiting for them to fully boot up.
Restarting your router is especially important if it’s been a while since you last did so—or if there was any damage done to it during a storm.
- The Plug And Play Function Issue
The problem is with the Plug and Play functionality of the LaView NVR.
However, if you connect the IP camera directly to the PoE NVR, the plug-and-play functionality will operate as intended, and it will be possible to add the camera to the NVR in the correct manner.
If you attempt to add the same camera that is linked to an external PoE switch, however, this capability will not work since it is not supported. The plug-and-play functionality does not instantly add the camera to the setup.
You need to switch the channel from Plug and Play (auto) to Manual, and then you need to manually add the camera’s IP address after making the switch.
First and foremost, open the SADP program on your laptop and retrieve the camera’s IP address. Next, give the camera a static IP address that is compatible with your local network (where the external PoE switch is located).
Make sure that the gateway and subnet mask settings are correct.
The next step is to go to the Camera Management section and choose the Custom Adding option once you get there.
There, you will be given the opportunity to manually key in the camera’s static IP address, as well as the login and password for the camera.
After clicking “Add,” the camera will be shown, and the message “no more IP cameras permitted” will no longer appear.
- Make Sure NVR Is Updated
A few other items to bear in mind, some of which are sometimes connected to this issue:
Ensure that the firmware of the NVR is at its most recent version. Check to verify that the network video recorder (NVR) is compatible with the IP camera. The equipment really has to be able to handle the resolution.
This LaView error notice, which reads “no camera authorized,” may also appear if the total bitrate of the IP cameras exceeds the limit that the manufacturer originally intended for them.
For instance, if you have a 16-channel LaView NVR and you’ve already added 10 cameras, each of which has a bitrate of 10 Mbps, the NVR may refuse to add the 11th camera if it’s already straining to keep up with the existing bitrate.
This may happen if you’ve already added 10 cameras to the system.
