IFTTT is a state-of-the-art technology that has revolutionized the way appliances, devices, and applications work as it allows you to have the right edge of any features that your device might have by applying several specific conditions to them.
Wyze appliances and application supports IFTTT so you will be having a great experience over the smart devices that you have installed for your home, office, or any other place. However, if you are unable to make the IFTTT work on your Wyze application, here is what you need to do.
How to Fix IFTTT Wyze Not Working?
1. Check Access
The first thing that you will need to check is that IFTTT needs to be running in the background for smooth functionality. If there are some restrictions, it might not be able to work smoothly and you will have to face issues. So, check on the internet access first and make sure that not only IFTTT has permission to access the internet but it can also access the internet in the background while running.
This is going to solve the problem most of the time for you. You might also need to reset the Wi-Fi settings and then change these access settings to ensure that you will never have to deal with such an error again.
2. Disable Battery Saver
You also need to be careful with the battery saver. While battery saver restricts the usage of background running applications to save the battery, it will be causing you to have problems with your IFTTT as well. So, if you don’t need it direly, it is recommended to keep the battery Saving Mode on your phone off, so the hardware resources are not limited by it and the Wyze application can run in the background for processing the right algorithms and commands that you will be needed for running the IFTTT.
3. Restart the Device
If you are facing the IFTTT issue on a singular device and all the other devices are working fine, then this might be some error or bug at the device end and your app is working fine. To fix such problems, a simple power cycle on the device is enough and you will be able to make it work again without getting any problems at all. Although, sometimes a power cycle is not enough and it can be some issue or a problem with the settings that need to be fixed.
So, after running a power cycle, if you are still not able to make it work, you should try out resetting the device to default settings and then connect it with the app from scratch.
4. Update Application
At times, the problem can be simply the application as you might be running an outdated version of the application on your phone that might be causing you to have issues with IFTTT not working. For such cases, you should be uninstalling the application, restart your device and then install the latest version of the application on your phone as this is going to fix all the issues for you and you can use IFTTT on Wyze again.
