Honeywell Thermostats are just the perfect thing you can get to keep your HVAC equipment safe and working in an optimal condition. Not only that, but you can also control all the equipment including heating, cooling, dehumidifiers and more through your smartphone app and that is just a bliss to have on a cold day after work. These thermostats offer a great connectivity, but if you are unable to make it work and it is not turning on for some reason, here are a few things that you need to do.
Honeywell Thermostat Not Turning On
1) Close the Door
The smallest things on the Honeywell thermostats matter and since it is designed for absolute security, there is no aspect left unchecked to that part. So, if you have left any of the access doors opened even slightly, the thermostat will not turn on. You need to make sure that all the access doors to thermostat and the equipment are properly secure and locked. That will make it work for you and you will have the thermostat back up and running in no time at all. So, you just have to lock back all the doors securely every time you use them to access the thermostat.
2) Check the Wiring
Another thing that can possibly cause this issue is the wiring on your thermostat. There are far too many wires and cables attached so you can never be sure about it and that is why you need a technician to have a look into your wiring. A technician will be able to ensure that all the components are perfectly attached to the wiring and thermostat and that it is getting the right power to fire up your systems.
Having the wiring checked will also eliminate the possibility of a short circuit as your wires can be broken or melted due to that and you will not be able to get the thermostat work after that. So, check for all the connections, and the jumper settings to make it alright.
3) The Circuit Breaker
There is also a circuit breaker that is attached to the Honeywell thermostat and in case of some short circuit, it can be tripped. So, if your circuit breaker is tripped, the Honeywell thermostat will not be getting any sort of current and that will cause you to have this error. What you will need to do in such cases is that check on the breaker and make sure that the switch is on. That is essentially going to help you with all the problems and then you can use the thermostat without any issues.
4) Contact Honeywell
These thermostats are pretty complex and there can be other issues than these that will not let you get your thermostat on. So, what you will need to do is contact Honeywell support department so that they can run a complete diagnosis over your thermostat and the HVAC system. With a proper diagnosis, they will also be able to fix it up for you and your system will be as good as new.
