Flux LED bulbs will indeed fit your budget, but the setup can be a bit annoying when you’re installing these bulbs for the first time. It is always a better idea to make your budget flexible and switch to brands like GE or Philips when you’re purchasing items that will last you for several years. There is no point in staying on a budget and replacing bulbs every few months because of performance issues.
However, if you’ve already spent money on Flux LED bulbs and it is not getting discovered, then all hope is not lost. You can still rely on basic troubleshooting methods to get the bulbs discovered again. So, follow these methods when the Flux LED bulb is not found.
Flux LED Bulb Not Found
- Check Bluetooth Status
Usually, owners are running into this issue because of Bluetooth problems, and you need to cycle the Bluetooth features on your mobile to get ahead of these discovery problems. The bulb will start appearing in the application once it is connected through Bluetooth on your mobile device.
So, simply turn off Bluetooth and remove all the Bluetooth accessories from your mobile phone. After waiting for a few minutes, you can turn the Bluetooth back on and test the performance from Flux LED Bulb.
- Power Cycle Flux Bulb
Sometimes, these minor discovery bugs can be fixed by removing power from the bulb and turning it on after a few minutes. You should also put some focus on checking the outlet for possible issues. The Flux bulb cannot be found until the voltage supply to this unit is optimal.
So, you need to make sure that the output from the outlet matches the requirements of your bulb. You can try out a multimeter to check the output or switch to a different outlet to confirm your suspicion of insufficient voltage.
- Reinstall Flux Application
If you’re sure that there are no issues with the voltage output from the source, then your next step should be reinstalling the application. Check the Play Store or App Store for possible updates and remove the current version from your mobile. After that, try rebooting your mobile device and then install the Flux Application after the mobile boots up.
Even if you’re on the latest version, reinstalling the application will help address minor programming bugs. So, if the Flux bulb is not found even after going through all of the above-mentioned fixes, resetting the application is the only logical option.
- Limit Interferences
The number of wireless accessories connected to your mobile device will create several connection issues. So, if you’re in the same situation and there are multiple accessories connected to your device, turn them off for a few moments and then discover the Flux bulb again.
As long as there are no hardware issues with the Flux bulb, it should work perfectly after you limit interferences. Make sure to power cycle the bulb once more after removing other devices before you try to discover it through the mobile application.
- Use A Different Mobile Device
Some users had to switch to a different mobile device to get the Flux bulb discovered on the application. It is entirely possible that the OS on your mobile device is outdated and not compatible with the Flux bulb. So, if you’re still stuck in the same issue with the Flux bulb not being found on the application, switch to a different phone.
If the bulb works with the new phone, then you’ll know for sure that the issue is with your mobile phone. However, if the bulb is still causing the same problems, then your Flux LED bulb might be defective.
- Factory Reset Flux LED Bulb
Your last shot at fixing the bulb at this point is to factory reset the bulb. Depending upon the model of the bulb you own, the reset procedure can vary. So, you’ll have to rely on the instruction manual to reset the bulb back to factory settings. This will be enough to help you get the Flux bulb connected to the app if there are no hardware problems. Otherwise, you will have to reach out to the dealer and demand a replacement by claiming the warranty.
