Echo Auto is a smart device that has a compact design, it is intended for users that would like the complete Alexa experience in their cars. There are many different features that you can access as long as you have a stable internet connection. So, users must have a strong data plan if they want to use their Echo Auto properly.
Even though it is a pretty reliable device, some users have mentioned running into an error like “Echo Auto Setup Failed”. If you’re in a similar situation then here are a few troubleshooting methods that might help you fix this problem.
How to Fix Echo Auto Setup Failed?
- Airplane Mode
If you’re having issues in connecting the Echo Auto with your android phone then try turning on the Airplane mode on your phone. You can do so by swiping down and clicking on the Airplane icon. Once the airplane mode is on you need to wait 60 seconds and then turn it back off. Afterward, you can try going through the setup process again and your device should connect to the mobile app.
If you’re on iOS then instead of turning on airplane mode, you need to turn off your Bluetooth and then turn it back on after 30 seconds. After the Bluetooth is back online you can try connecting the Echo Auto with your iOS device. Some users have also mentioned that force closing the Alexa app and then launching it again fixed the issue for them.
- Reboot Echo Auto
Another fix that can potentially fix this issue is simply rebooting your Echo Auto device. You can do so by unplugging the USB power cable inserted into the Echo Auto. You need to wait around 45 seconds before you plug it back in. Once the device boots up you can go ahead and initiate the setup process to check if the issue persists.
Sometimes your mobile phone can also cause this error. So, make sure to also reboot your phone if the issue persists. You can do so by holding down the power button on your phone for around 15 seconds and then clicking reboot.
- Factory Settings
If your issue is not resolved at this point then you can also try resetting your Echo Auto to factory settings. Doing this will take care of all the minor bugs and you will easily be able to connect your Echo Auto to your mobile phone.
To reset the Echo Auto you need to press the button and start holding down the action button on your device. Keep on holding the action button until Alexa notifies you that your device is resetting. At this point, you can release the button and then wait for the LED indicator to turn orange. Afterward, go through the setup process again.
- Faulty Device
After trying all of the above-mentioned fixes if you are still not able to get your smart device to connect then there is a good chance that your device is faulty. In this situation, the only thing you can do is to get it replaced by forwarding a warranty claim.
