In the current era of technology, everything is going smart and smart home appliances are one of the greatest gifts of this technological advancement. These appliances and controllers bring you the right convenience that you want from your home.
Casetta Wireless switch is one such great innovation that would help you control any of your appliances such as your lights, fans, air-conditioning, and more. Casetta is a switch by Lutron that is renowned all over the world for premium quality switches, smart lights, and whatnot.
You will not usually have to face any issue with the switch, but if you do, here is how you can fix it with a few easy troubleshooting steps.
Casetta Wireless Switch Not Working
1. Re-connect
The first thing for you to try is to check if your switch is working manually to check the efficiency of your switch. If your switch works fine manually, it means there is some issue with the application. Try reconnecting it with the application and it would start working like before. If it doesn’t work either, you will need to reset the application to its default settings.
You will need to move forward with re-installing the application if it doesn’t work either. Re-installing will not only reset all the settings but will also update the version on your application and the issue will be solved in no time at all.
2. Check your Wireless Settings
You need to move forward with checking the wireless settings. The Wi-Fi should be compatible in terms of frequency, and all the other settings. You might have set it to 5Ghz wireless and that will not support your Casetta switch. So, you will need to check on that and also make sure that your switch and device are both connected to the Wi-Fi network to make it work perfectly.
3. Reset the Switch
If none of the above is working for you, you will need to reset the switch manually. There is a way to do it, and it will solve almost all of the problems that you might have. To reset the switch, you will need to keep the middle button pressed for a few seconds. Once the lights on your switch start flickering, you will need to press the middle button three times. The power light will flicker a few times more and then the switch will be reset to its default settings. You can connect it again like before and use it without having any errors.
4. Call a Technician
If none of the above solutions have worked for you, you will need to call an authorized technician to solve the problem for you. The technician will be able to check for the compatibility of your switch with the appliance you are using. A technician will also be able to solve any issues with the wiring, or any dysconnectivity problems.
You should not be trying anything with the wiring on your own as it can get a bit dangerous for you.
