Mason Luxe and Carver units from Aura have become pretty popular over the last couple of years. These units rarely run into issues, and you’ll be able to get consistent output from the Aura Frames. So, if you’re planning on spending money on a decent digital frame, then going with Aura might be the only real option.
Some issues with the Aura Frame flickering have recently been brought forward by the customers. These issues with the Aura frame are usually caused by an irregular power supply, and you should follow through with some of the fixes mentioned here. Hopefully, you won’t have to spend money on a fresh unit, and the Aura frame will work perfectly.
Aura Frame Flickering
- Re-plug Power Cable
Most of the time, you won’t have to go through any extensive procedures, and it is pretty easy for users to fix the flickering by simply power cycling the unit. You can power cycle the Aura frame by removing the power cable from the outlet and then waiting for a few minutes before you plug the cable back into the unit. If you’re sure that there aren’t any power-related issues, then your unit should be fixed at this point.
- Try A Different Output
Sometimes, you will need to switch to a different outlet because of voltage issues. There is a decent chance that your current outlet is not supplying the Aura frame with sufficient power. Just to stay on the safer side, you should try to hire a professional to help with the electrical connections in your house. In the meanwhile, try to test the Aura frame with a different outlet and then judge the response from the frame. Hopefully, the issue with the voltage will only be limited to one section, and the outlet will start working without further complications.
- Check The Condition Of The Power Cable
The condition of the power cable is the next thing that should be considered when the flickering issues are not fixed, even when you’re sure that the output from the outlet is sufficient. If the condition of the power cable is rough, then the only solution here is to get a replacement. You won’t be able to get any performance from the frame until the power supply is fixed. So, make sure to supply sufficient power to the system.
- Factory Reset Aura Frame
It is also possible that you’re running into flickering issues with the Aura frame because of programming bugs. At the moment, there aren’t any configurations that can be used to manage the brightness of your Frame. So, you should just factory reset the Aura system to address these bugs. The frame will be removed from the application, and the existing configurations will be wiped away. You’ll have to set up everything from scratch and then judge the response from the display one more time.
- Find A New Spot
The frame automatically adjusts the brightness according to the surrounding conditions, and the frame often flickers when you put it in a sunny region. So, you need to find a shaded spot for your frame and then test out the response from the frame. Most often than not, this will fix the brightness issues, and you’ll be able to see the pictures clearly.
You can also use some objects to block the light sensors on the frame, and that should also help you get to the same outcome with the frame. So, simply erect some shade around the frame and check if that fixes your problem.
- Get A Replacement
At this point, you’ll just have to get a replacement from the official Aura support. There is a good chance that your frame is defective, and you will need to claim a warranty on your unit to get a fresh system. The Aura dealer support is phenomenal, and you won’t have a hard time trying to secure a replacement. So, if the claim is indeed valid, just send Aura support an email or call their company number.

We got this for Christmas 2022. It has worked perfectly until the 5th of January. Now we have a flickering frame.We have tried everything except for trying a new power cord and doing the factory reboot. Was wondering if you have some other alternatives. Thank you.
