August Connect is one of the best things you can get if you are looking to install the August lock system at your place. It works as a bridge, allowing you to connect all your August smart devices to the Wi-Fi more efficiently. With the help of the bridge, all your devices are essentially connected to the Bridge and it connects with your router as a singular device.
The best part is that it does not only increase the efficiency for you but you also get to enjoy the better experience of seamless connectivity and a stable networking through all the apps that you are using along with the better diagnostics if some device is not working as it should.
The connect device is perfectly optimized with the August devices and smart locks and have the right compatibility, but if you are having some issues with the connect, here is how to fix them.
August Connect Not Working
1) Check on the Internet
You will need to make sure that you are not having any sort of issues with the internet first. Your router should be working fine and have the right internet connectivity on it with the ample speed for all the devices to be connected with the internet. So, check on some other device and make sure that your internet is working fine before you try out something else as this simple thing can help you figure out the issue better.
Also, you will need to ensure that your ethernet cable that you are using to have it connected with the August Connect device is plugged in correctly on the output port on the router and in the input port on August connect device and that the cable is working fine. This is the most common reason that can cause you to have such issues and once you have taken care of these effectively, you will not have to face any sort of issues.
2) Reset the Bridge
The next thing that you should try is resetting the bridge as it will solve most of the problems that you are having and will also update the firmware on your device if needed. The process is pretty simple and you will not have to go through much trouble resetting the August connect.
All you need to do is unplug all the cables that are attached to your bridge including the power cable and the ethernet cable coming from your router. If you have any devices connected through wire with the August connect, you will need to take them off too.
Once you have taken out all the connectors, let the device sit for a minute or two like that. Afterwards, you can connect all the cables again and make sure that you are plugging them in tight enough for a right efficiency. After that, the August connect will restart and might take around 5 minutes with the lights flashing on it. Let it do its job and you will be able to use it after that without any issues.
