The BISSELL Pet Stain Eraser™ is a powerful, easy-to-use cordless pet spot and stain remover. It uses suction and cleaning solutions to clean up spots and spills quickly. The Stain Eraser is always ready for use since it doesn’t require mixing solutions. And, it’s convenient because it stores neatly in its storage case. The blue light in the BISSELL Pet Stain Eraser™ indicates that it’s ready to use. However, the cleaning solution must be refilled if the blue light blinks. Always hold the ergonomic handle with one hand and guide with the other. Place the suction nozzle over the spill or spot, then squeeze and release the trigger to start. Cleaning solutions and suction will work together to clean up your pet’s messes quickly!
Additionally, there are several other reasons why the blue light might blink in the BISSELL Pet Stain Eraser™. The most common reasons are:
- The battery is not connected properly.
- The battery is low and needs to be recharged.
- There is something caught in the brush roll.
- The brush roll is not spinning.
- The machine is not sucking up water.
- The tank is not seated properly on the base.
- The dirty water tank is full.
- The clean water tank is empty.
- The power switch is in the off position.
Here’s how you can fix these issues :
BISSELL Pet Stain Eraser Blinking Blue Light Fix:
- Connect Battery Properly
If the blue light blinks, check if the battery is properly connected. If it is, check to see if the battery is low and needs recharging. If the battery is not the problem, something might be caught in the brush roll. To check this, remove the brush roll and see if there is anything wrapped around the brush or clogging it. If there is, remove it and replace the brush roll.
- Spin Brush Roll
If the blue light blinks, check to ensure the brush roll is spinning. If it isn’t, turn off the machine and remove any debris that might be caught. Once you’ve removed the debris, turn the machine back on and see if the brush roll starts spinning.
- Check if the Machine is Sucking Up Water
If the blue light blinks, check if the machine is sucking up water. If it isn’t, ensure the tank is seated properly on the base and that the dirty water tank is not full.
- Empty The Water Tank
If the blue light on your Pet Stain Eraser blinks, it may be because the dirty water tank is full. Empty the tank and try again. To empty the water tank
- Press down the release button
- Pour the dirty water into a sink or drain.
- Close the dirty water tank and make sure it is firmly seated.
- Clean The Brushes And Brush Housing
Clean the brushes and brush housing if your BISSELL Pet Stain Eraser is still not working properly after you’ve emptied the water tank.
- Remove the water tank.
- Press the release button on the brush housing to open it.
- Remove any hair or other debris wrapped around the brushes.
- Use a brush or object to clear debris from the brush housing.
- Reassemble the unit and try again.
- Seal Tank Properly
Check whether or not the tank is properly seated on the unit. Ensure that the tank is snapped into place and that there are no leaks. To
seal the tank properly
- Ensure the O-ring is in place on the bottom of the tank.
- Place the tank on the unit and press down until it snaps into place.
- Check for leaks around the tank. If there are any, replace the O-ring and try again.
- If there are still no leaks, the unit is sealed properly.
- Clean The Sensors
If the blue light is still blinking, the sensors inside the water tank may be dirty. To clean them, follow these steps:
- Unplug the Stain Eraser from the power outlet.
- Remove the water tank.
- Locate the two round, white sensors on the bottom of the tank (one near each handle).
- Clean the sensors with a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol.
- Replace the water tank and plug the unit back in.
