One such great feature that you get across LIFX applications and especially on the Smart Bulbs is that you can install motion sensors for a specific place and all you need to do is enter a room and the lights will be turned on automatically and that is simply a welcome sight to have.
The feature works out pretty great and you will not have to face any sort of problems with the motion sensor on most LIFX appliances that support the option. However, if you are getting some sort of issues and it is not working as it is supposed to, here is what you need to do.

1) Mind the Sensitivity
You need to make sure that you have the right sensitivity adjustments and settings on your LIFX smart things, otherwise it will not work for you as it is supposed to. So, the best course would be to reset the sensitivity settings and then adjust them according to your preference, this will solve the problem for you for good and you will not have to deal with any issues like that again.
2) Reset Settings
There are tons of other settings involved that can have conflict with these motion sensors and you will have to face issues with them working optimally as you want them to. Settings like scheduling, timer options and similar options may hinder your experience with the motion sensors.
So, you will need to make sure that you are resetting all the settings on your application and then optimize the bulbs and motion sensors again and that will do the trick for you. You will be able to make the motion sensors work on smart bulbs like before.
3) Optimize them right
Now, once you have reset the settings, you need to make sure that you are optimizing the right motion sensors with your bulbs as you want to and they are not having some issues. Most commonly, you face problems with the motion sensors if you don’t optimize them with the right bulbs.
So, it would be better if you start installing these motion sensors one by one and make sure that you are naming them right so you won’t have to face any confusions later and that should be enough to make it work for you and you will not have to face any sort of issues again.
4) Reinstall the application
If you have tried all of the above and nothing has worked out for you so far, you will need to ensure that you are re-installing the application to fix up any issues. Clear out all the app data and then uninstall your application and restart your phone.
After the restart, you can download the latest version of the application from your relevant play store. This is certainly going to work as it will not only clear out errors and bugs but will also update the application version so you can have access to all the features including motion sensors.
